Visit Korean Women's Development Institute (KWDI)

On 13th November (Tue.) 2012, NWEC research team visited Korean Women's Development Institute (KWDI) which has been NWEC’s institutional partner since 2006.
This visit was made as part of the two research projects, “Study of the development system and policy recommendation for the support of female researchers - comparison of Japan, China, and South Korea”, (Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research C, Chief Researcher Fusako Utsumi),and "Empirical and practical research on women’s career development - complex career development process and career leaning” (Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research B, Chief Researcher Michiko Kanda).
After paying a courtesy visit to the KWDI president Dr. Keum Shook CHOE, research team conducted an interview with Ms.Seon-Mee Shin, Research Fellow, Center for Human Research Policies.
Ms.Shin shared results of the most recent survey on initiatives to increase female researchers in Korea, such as equal recruitment policy for faculty members.
NWEC researchers and Ms.Shin actively exchange opinions about background of various support programs for female researchers in Korea.
