National Women’s Education Center of Japan

　On Friday, April 5, 2013, NWEC had the honor of welcoming Dr. Haesook Chung, Vice President of the Korean Women's Development Institute (KWDI), with which NWEC made an exchange and cooperation agreement in 2006, together with Dr. Elim Kim, a Professor at the Korean National Open University and Dr. Minjin Lee, a Professor at Rikkyo University.

　After a welcoming speech from President Utsumi, a presentation was given by Director Nakano of the Office of Research and International Affairs about NWEC's roles and its research and Vice President Chung shared the latest information on developments in the area of gender equality in Korea. The group engaged in an exchange of views with NWEC staff and then toured NWEC's Information Center for Women's Education and the Women's Archives Center as well.
