Her daughter, Nicole, a legal scholar, will give a keynote speech regarding Beate Sirota Gordon’s contributions to the draft of the Japanese constitution.
This includes social security and gender rights. We should be inspired by her tireless activism in supporting Japanese women’s active participation in society.
During the dialogue between Nicole and Miyoko TSUJIMURA (Professor, Law School, Meiji University, Japan), they will discuss the problems of creating a modern gender equal society, while considering the historical significance of Beate’s contributions.

Kyodo News and Japan Times posted articles on NWEC Women's Archives Center exhibition featuring Beate Sirota Gordon and Japanese Constitution.
