National Women’s Education Center of Japan

On Tuesday, January 27, we welcomed Professor Kezzie Lyn Hilado, Director of the Gender and Development Program (GDP) at the University of the Philippines Visayas (UP Visayas: UPV).

After a tour of the Women’s Education Information Center and the Women’s Archives Center, Professor Hilado engaged in an insightful exchange of views with our staff. During the session, both organizations presented their respective initiatives. This provided a valuable opportunity to deepen mutual understanding of UPV GDP’s efforts to promote gender equality within the university and the local community, as well as our center's mission as a national hub.

The meeting also involved active discussions on potential future collaborations. The visit concluded with a commemorative photo session with President Hagiwara. This visit proved to be a significant step in strengthening the partnership between our two organizations.
